BEA Thought Leadership Series (BEATLS)
Description:
In my role as chair of the member and external communication committee for the BEA Board of Directors, I was asked to help launch the BEATLS video series. The BEA Thought Leadership Series (BEATLS) introduces faculty and students to influential and/or historical figures in the media industry. The short video interviews (5-10 minutes) explore each professional’s background, career path, and day to day responsibilities as well as highlight industry trends. The first group of interviews (11) focus on film/televsion distribution and media research. We hope the series will be expanded to include many more interviews with experts in other fields of interest to BEA constituents. I just completed shooting interviews at the Radio Advertising Bureau / National Association of Broadcasters' Radio Show in Nashville. I am personally hoping to expand BEATLS to include sports media through the assistance of Sports Video Group.
