Oklahoma State University Liveboards

Description:
In the summer of 2009, I was contracted by Producers Management TV (PMTV) in King of Prussia, PA, to Direct/Technical Direct the liveboard (aka Jumbotron) shows at 2009-2010 Oklahoma State home football and basketball games. Although I did not officially have the producer title, I essentially served as a producer as well. I was responsible for the entire production crew (roughly 20 people) on-site. I handled crew paperwork, venue credentials, and personnel disputes. I also served as the on-location liaison between PMTV, the OSU Athletic Department, the rights-holder Cowboy Sports Network (Learfield Communications), and Cox Communications who supplied the mobile production unit. The video boards were live without interruption in the venue as soon as the gates opened (2 hours before the game) until the conclusion of the game. In addition to the live coverage of the games, I was responsible for weekly deliverables to the client including, copies of the game (confidence recordings), a truck MELT (highlights of the game), the coach's post-game press conference, and the Delta Dental Hit of the Game contest video for OKState.com. The video clip is an excerpt from the OSU vs. Colorado game on November 19, 2009. Although the video boards were HD, our confidence recording of the game was on an SD DVD recorder. Therefore, the excerpt is in SD squished to 4x3 aspect ration. In addition, the audio recroding is from the field announcer's booth so you may not necessarily hear audio that accompanies video elements played from the mobile unit.
